Vedanti was forced to resign

The Shiromani Gurudawara Prabandhak Commitee forced Giani Joginder Singh Vedanti, to resign as Jathedar of Akal Takhat. The resignation was accepted at a meeting of SGPC held in Kurukchetra. SGPC general secretary Sukhdev Singh Bhaur and executive committee member Rajinder Singh Mehta went to Vedanti's house and sought his resignation. Jathedar Vedanti said, both the member threatend to give resign from the post. He said, I want to resign after the gurutagaddi diwas celebration at nanded sahib in oct, but SGPC force me to resign.
